Job Description
Our client, a leading financial services organisation are looking to appoint a Risk Data Analyst based from their office in Milton Keynes supporting various teams in terms of systes, data quality and integrity. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing bank in an existing department renowned for high quality and leading data integrity.

As an Analyst you will gain a detailed understanding of the underlying data and data structures of multiple Systems to allow in depth analysis of existing and potential data quality issues. This analysis will drive the subsequent development of Processes, Control Models and Data Quality Plans

Salary Indication
£30,000 - £35,900
s a Risk Data Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Experience of large volume data analysis and interpretation producing summary findings/recommendations
Experience of data validation and/or undertaking complex reconciliations.
BASE SAS/ SAS EG Experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of SQL and Relational Database Principles.
Knowledge of VB/VBA or equivalent is highly desirable
Proficiency and experience at an advanced level of Microsoft suite of programs (particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
Experience of providing recommendations for improvements.
Proven ability in identifying, analysing and successfully resolving issues.
A disciplined and structured attitude to work that delivers to tight deadlines and balances conflicting timescales and priorities.
Ability to understand and communicate the risk associated with an observation or incident.
Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work across cultural boundaries to deal effectively with all levels of staff and build good relations with departments in the business, IT and Risk and the ability to represent Data Quality Risk Systems in wider forums.
Financial Service experience.
Awareness of data-warehousing  
Experience of SOX Controls and regulatory requirements
Experience is use of recognised querying tools e.g. MS Access
Knowledge of Process Automation
Knowledge of SharePoint/SharePoint administration and other Collaboration Tools
You will need to pass a credit check and a disclosure check to be considered for this role
As a Data Analyst your main responsibilities will include:
Defining and implementing Control Models for Systems
Defining, execute and monitor metrics to support the validation of data quality in systems that provide data
Delivering improvements to the quality of data in the systems supported/reconciled, facilitated by the use metrics and analysis.
Undertaking detailed data analysis exercises to identify opportunities for data cleansing/improvements
Undertaking volume data quality checks at account level to support delivery of improved quality and increased efficiency across the business
