Project Director (Building Services) - Preston
Salary:£50k - £55k + Bonus + Pension, Car/Car Allowance
Our Client are a highly successful multi-disciplined Building Services provider (Mechanical Bias) with a dedicated estimating, project management and installation teams. The company offer in house design as well as having a fully equipped fabrication facility. Through their supply chain they offer associated subcontractor specialist services with a service and maintenance department offering 365 day emergency cover. Their client base includes end users, consultants, local authorities, the NHS and many local and national contractors.
This is a challenging and highly satisfying role as you will be playing a key part in the success of managing a Projects Team taking full responsibility for the day to day operations with particular emphasis on the successful site delivery of schemes. The post holder will manage and deliver all matters relating to the companies Project Management and Engineering function
In addition you will support other Directors in their roles in particular relating to company development and securing work streams as well as providing regular reports to the MD on progress and status of the various activities and works being undertaken. The successful individual will manage the company responsibilities in respect of Health & Safety and Environmental issues
You must fulfil all statutory duties as a Company Director and be an active management board member.
Post Holders Experience
We would anticipate the successful candidate to be already operating in a senior position but now looking to progress further and meet the demands of working within a SME.
The candidate should have good technical and interpersonal skills and have abroad range of experience. Being qualified to MCIBSE level or similar equivalent would be an advantage but not essential. The management of site based operatives would also be an advantage as the position entails the successful delivery to completion of all our projects.
To manage and deliver all matters relating to the companies Project Management and Engineering function
To liaise and develop relationships with clients at all levels to ensure project delivery, excellent customer service levels, new and repeat business
To manage and take responsibility for the delivery of the clients projects to meet client expectations on site
To effectively and pro-actively through the use of objective setting, manage and motivate on site staff to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budgets.
To prepare programmes of work to meet project requirements, monitor and report against these programmes in relation to on site activities to meet the agreed objectives.
Effectively plan and co-ordinate work sequences, methods of works as well as materials, plant and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within agreed budgets.
Have overall responsibility for the administration, procurement and general management of all projects including but not limited to finances, information flow, suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with the company?s standard operating procedures.
Assist in the preparation and submission to agreed dates monthly valuations, variation and final accounts to maximise the profitability of the company and maintain cash flow levels.
Ensure accurate design, planning and procurement to meet project demands for all resources including equipment & subcontractors in line with the project programme and budgets.
Offer technical support across the range of Building Services to staff and clients
