Play Barn Supervisor - Dornoch, Scotland

Salary: DOE

The company: My client is well established business and is set in a beautiful countryside setting, with all round events. The have an exciting new position within their team for a permanent Supervisor who can hit the ground running.

The Role:

You support the Co-ordinator researching and organising events, activities and themes for the barn as well as age-appropriate projects for children, utilising the exceptional facilities in- and outdoors. You also help to ensure the Barn is stocked with all materials required for various activities you are planning and in general for running the Barn. Co-ordinating the Barn Assistants and Bab sitters according to the attendance of members children in the absence of the Co-ordinator is part of your role as well as ensuring risk assessments are undertaken if required.

Essential Requirements:

You are passionate about childcare, have a minimum of 2 years? experience working with children and you have completed your SVQ Level 3/SCVF Level 7 or equivalent in childcare. The ability to work unsupervised, having good communication and social skills, and being pro-active and able to multi-task, are just some of your strengths. You must be able to work as required to suit business demands which includes weekends, bank holidays and part of the Christmas/New Year and Easter period. This position is subject to PVG membership and SSSC registration.

Key Skills: You will have strong problem solving skills, empathy, sympathy, resilience and a keen proactive approach to your workload. An understanding of the dynamics of a play room/play barn/ nursery setting will be strongly advantageous.
