Management Information (MI) Team Lead - Manchester
My client, a leading legal insurance firm in Manchester is looking for a MI Team Lead to deliver upon both External Client and Internal Stakeholders expectations.
A Digital Transformation agenda is underway to modernise the firms' infrastructure, systems and working practises, expanding the firm's capability, with services being transitioned to the cloud.
This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking, friendly and progressive IT team as we look to build and expand an MI and Reporting Data Analytics Centre of Excellence.
Highly personable, the individual should be a self-starter, flexible and proactive, and be able to demonstrate the capability to drive performance and motive a team to use and develop their own knowledge and skills within a cloud based environment towards a shared goal of excellence an continuous improvement.
Experienced in dealing with competing Stakeholders in an as is environment they will also be engaged in a number of delivery streams or digital transformational and data strategy rollout and implementation. The role is hands on with the expectation of driving forward a migration of existing service offerings to the Microsoft Azure toolset through the demonstration of best practice and agile methodology, providing guidance, instruction and direction to the team of MI Analysts.
An insurance or legal background is not essential for this role although the successful candidate should have a background in high volume Operational/Financial reporting and/or have a solid knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools.
Lead a team of MI Analysts, assuming responsibility for their day to day management including top down objective setting (in conjunction with the MI Manager ), 1:1s, holiday approval, absence management and identifying and dealing with areas of underperformance within the team
Monitor the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the MI Analysts whilst promoting service excellence to our stakeholders, engaging with them to deliver on time
Deal with Incidents relating to MI and manage BAU requests/requests for improvements to existing MI through Service Now
Responsible for setting an example to the team on how to work efficiently and effectively, ensuring their own behaviour and deliverables can be set as a benchmark for performance
Adhere to the contractual Service Delivery Process(es) and Service Level Agreements both internally and externally
Manage the documentation, client report/stakeholder report requirements and validation requirements
Ensure cover and knowledge sharing within the team to eradicate risk of key man dependency and deliver a consistent service across all clients and internal stakeholders
Provide relevant insight and analysis to improve client understanding of their own performance.
