Fire Engineer -Rochester

Salary: From £40,000 + benefits

The Company:

Our client is a firm of engineers delivering projects fully specified with accompanying calculations, and on time. Their team of professionals are experienced in both private and public projects. Their stated objective is that all projects are designed and completed in accordance with industry regulatory standards. Their chartered engineering team checks every design.


- Structural Calculations, Temporary Work, Structural Designs, Structural Drawings, Scaffolding Design, Scaffolding Calculations, and Temporary Roofs.
- They are now on the lookout for a suitability qualified and experienced Fire Engineer to join their team in Rochester.

The Role:

- Represent the company on fire safety by carrying out inspections on all property types.
- Oversee the project management of any building type safety impact programme.
- Provide competent support and technical advice on all matters concerning fire and building safety by imparting knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, internal policy, and sector best practices.
- Foster a good working relationship with the Building Safety Regulator to ensure their expectations are clearly understood and reflected in their procedures and compliance.
- Improve their fire safety knowledge by developing their engineers understanding of the critical factors to be considered when doing structural design.
- Partner with all stakeholders to introduce the importance and best practice with regard to fire safety.
- Assist with building their digital online presence regarding Building Safety Cases and Examples.
- You will be self-driven with the experience and confidence to join their client's growing business.
- Having good communication skills and a strong logical discipline coupled with a creative approach to solving problems will come easy to you.
- They work as a team so you will need to be able to integrate well with others and share in their values.
- No two days will be the same in this role so enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, and a genuine passion for always wanting to go the extra mile will be essential.
- Importantly you will have a good level of knowledge on fire safety with regard to high rise cladding

Qualifications / Experience :

- Suitably qualified with a level of experience commensurate with the position
- Importantly you will have a good level of knowledge on fire safety with regard to high rise cladding
- Evidence of previous experience in similar roles
- Bachelors (preferred)
- The required Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
