Salary: £30,000 

The Company:

COREcruitment is currently looking for a talented, outgoing, proactive, and passionate Assistant Manager for a Melbourne-inspired Wine Bar and eatery in North London. Exclusive yet casual, the business has an exceptionally strong wine and food offer, overseen by owner-operator seasoned wine professionals.

Our client's cultivated, neighbourhood wine bar & eatery, specialises in a palate-extending range of wines, by the glass or bottle. Complemented by locally sourced grazing and substantial plates from a seasonally derived menu. 

They are located in a premium community-style neighbourhood awaiting a talented Manager to join and drive their small and dynamic team! This is a new opening with a small, passionate team.  It is a unique opportunity to join a highly skilled, passionate team that has a strong commitment to excellent service, care, and quality.

The Role

• Minimum 24 months of experience in a similar management role
• Experience in fast paced and professional hospitality settings
• Passionate & knowledgeable re: everything about food and drink and love to share this with the FOH team
• A proven leader with excellent management skills
• Strong attention to detail, calm under pressure and resilient
• A willingness to go the extra mile; to lead by example when it comes to service
• Manage the business aspects of the venue, dealing with suppliers, ordering and stock control
• Great team management and ability to create a friendly and open atmosphere
• Staff Rota Management
• Help organise team training and development, conducting appraisals and regular check-ins to ensure the team are happy and working tor ability the best of thei
• Knowledge and understanding of P&L
• Budgets, forecasting, maintaining margin & cash handling
• WSET Qualified preferred or experience in the wine sector
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Food Hygiene and Heath & Safety at Work
• Up to date emergency first aid in the workplace
• Fire Marshal training completed
